Governments at all levels – municipal, provincial, state and federal – have powerful opportunities to make the world a better place. Since 1995 Highwater Mark Strategy and Communications has worked with:

  • with the City of Victoria, the province of  BC and the Canadian federal government on community based social marketing to address homelessness,
  • the Municipalities of North Vancouver and West Vancouver and the District of North Vancouver to make their North Shore Recycling Project more strategic and effective
  • the Regional District of Nanaimo to reach new audiences for its Regional Land Use Strategy review, and
  • the BC Ministry of Labour and Citizen Services on communications about climate change and energy efficiency.

Increasingly governments have opportunities to work with their citizens to undertake effective community based social marketing efforts to make conservation work at the neighborhood level. Highwater Mark believes that with strategies that engage people in their communities we can address many of the major issues we face today: homelessness, the health of our children, climate change, the loss of biodiversity, and poverty. We’re seeking governments that want to try new strategies to involve the citizenry in the effort to make our communities, and our world, better places.
