The foothills that stretch from the Red Deer River in Alberta south to the Rocky Mountain Front of Montana are one of my favorite places on earth. Starting with a hike on Powderface Ridge in the spring of 1994, I’ve spent nearly two decades exploring this region. The photograph’s in this gallery are from a series I compiled with the hope to publish a book called Earth and Sky: A Foothills Journey. Images from The Two-Medicine River, The Blackfeet Reservation, The Castle Special Place, The Whaleback, Kananaskis Country, Ya Ha Tinda Ranch and points in between, these images are a mixture of pics digitized on my flatbed scanner from the original 35mm slides (so they aren’t as sharp as the originals) and material I’m currently shooting with a Nikon D-80.  This Picasa Web Album opens in a new window.
